Our out of office notifications are almost turned on – we have one foot in the bar and I’m sure we’re all debating what to do this long weekend! Let’s just say we have a few tricks up our sleeve and some nuggets of information to make the most of our three day weekend! Woop!

Chill on The Beach

With so many amazing beaches to choose from, why not mix it up a bit? We’re huge fans of Wattamolla Beach at the National Park, just a 90 minute drive from Sydney, you’ll feel like you’ve stepped into paradise!  Stay tuned to our instagram (@SydneySocial101) for pictures on Saturday – it’s set to be a scorcher!

Fancy A Tipple or Two?

Sky Terrace at The Star is back for summer, jam-packed with the best drinks, food and entertainment this long weekend.

With hard to beat views of Sydney Harbour and the city skyline, various pop-up bars showcasing sophisticated bar food and varied drink offerings are sure to satisfy all tastes and palates whilst curated entertainment will have you clapping your hands and tapping your feet.

Acclaimed DJ’s will play all weekend including lover of house, the funky Beth Yen who has played alongside some of the greats including Carl Cox and Diplo; the fashion industry’s go-to man, Kitsch78; Bondi locals Lok Stok; and DJ D-Flat.

Settle in and enjoy crafted cocktails at the Main Terrace bar, quaff the best Australian wines at the Wine Bar or be among the first to try Veuve Clicquot RICH – a new Veuve champagne with a cocktail spirit that is dedicated to mixology and available at the Veuve Clicquot activation.

There is bar food aplenty, options including slow cooked bourbon braised beef, corn and zucchini fritters with hot tomato sauce, and the Sky Terrace signature dish of BBQ pulled pork and cheese quesadilla with pickles and jalapenos – this one’s best shared!

Put your Money on the Races

Someone say fried chicken?!

This Sunday 4th October Harpoon Harry welcomes (back) Belle’s Hot Chicken governor Morgan McGlone, who is this time teaming up with Icebergs Dining Room & Bar head chef Monty Koloudrovic, for the most powerful POP UP yet!

Morgan & Monty’s Wings + Dogs + Moonshine Shakes will be the third “Friends of Harrys” pop-up event series to hit Harpoon Harry, following the hugely successful Belle’s Hot Chicken and Huxtaburger, and Morgan and Monty have been collaborating for weeks to come up with this special bespoke menu.
Think the best diner hot dog you can imagine… A spiced pork and beef frank hand made, wrapped in a soft bun, M&M’s mustard, pickles and chilli. Morgan’s famous Belle’s Hot Chicken, with a smokey Barbacoa flavor and his own secret salt and sauce (made for Harpoon Harry only). Add to this some Moonshine Shakes… shaken cocktails made with Morgan’s own small batch Melbourne Moonshine.
