Internationally-renowned chef and author, Michael Moore, has teamed up with MasterCard’s Priceless Sydney program to bring an exclusive above-city New Year’s Eve celebration to Sydneysiders, which they can book from today at http://www.pricelesssydney.com.au.
Perched high above Sydney on level 47 of the Australia Square building, the recently-opened O Bar and Dining combines two global trends for NYE revellers to experience – above-city venues and market fresh, healthier dining.
Moore, who has owned and managed top restaurants in both London and Sydney throughout his 26-year career, says that like any other trend, dining is very fashion-driven.

“Above-city venues are in full swing around the world, with Loof in Singapore, Vue Bar in Shanghai and Plunge in New York being just a few making the most of their stunning skyline vistas. O brings a hot new vibe to Sydney – it’s a fun, sexy, naughty and healthy destination where Sydneysiders can enjoy a freshly-juiced cocktail and some tasty lunch or dinner, all while soaking up city vistas from above.”
Previously known as The Summit restaurant, O Bar and Dining is a stylish, modern venue; with every interior detail hand-picked by Moore himself. Guests can enjoy 360-degree views of Sydney thanks to a revolving floor – the prime spot to enjoy Sydney’s famous fireworks show this New Year’s Eve as you look down on Sydney harbour from 47 floors up.
The O Bar and Dining menu focuses on local seafood and seasonal produce, underpinned by Moore’s healthy eating philosophy, inspired by his cookbook for diabetics and health-conscious cooks, Blood Sugar. Items on the menu include pasture-fed dry aged beef, rare breed pork and lamb and creel caught crustacea accompanied by the day’s market greens and vegetables.
Available exclusively via Priceless Sydney, MasterCard cardholders will have access to three unique New Year’s Eve Packages, each offering an evening filled with entertainment and delicious cocktails to accompany a bespoke menu by Michael Moore.
Package 1 – A six-course menu at a sought-after window table, $495 per person
Package 2 – A six-course menu, $425 per person
Package 3 – Substantial canapés at the O Bar, $320 per person

On the 5th December students from a leading design college in Sydney united to deliver an evening exhibition and stunning fashion show. About 120 graduates from Raffles College of Design and Commerce showcased their designs at a combined graduate exhibition.
Beginning at 6pm, the exhibition incorporated fashion, interior design, photography, animation, games design, new media and digital film, and multimedia design projects.
A special screening took place at 7pm and hilighted a range of creative works produced by multimedia, game design, and animation students.
The second part of the evening focused on garment and clothing creations with a live fashion show due to kick off at 8pm. The show, dubbed A Juncture of a Journey, brought together the work of 29 fashion students.
The fashion show was divided into for themes – Ashen, Utopia, Bohemian, and Sub-nation – allowing students to express their interpretations of each theme.
Drawing inspiration from natural disasters and destruction, designs in the Ashen category reflected a dark and moody theme. Utopia searches for calm after the storm and was underpinned by the desire for a more carefree world.
Garments in the Bohemian category focused on delicate materials like soft lace and lightweight chiffon to emulate the idea of transformation and a carefree attitude. The fourth category, Sub-nation, borrows from the concept of a new nation and looked to themes of recovery and joy through the application of bold prints and deconstructed garments.
The graduate exhibition took place at Carriageworks, housed in the old Eveleigh Rail Yards, where the distinctive nineteenth century industrial atmosphere of the former railway carriage and blacksmith workshops definitely added character to the event.
As the place where trains used to end their journey for repair, the venue is a fitting location for a group of students who have come from different directions to end their journey with a final stop at Carriageworks where they revealed their creations.
On the second day of Christmas my true love gave to me, some wonderful products for my skin to make it glow youthfully…
Sydney Social 101 knows how much many men love to look after their skin, just as much as the women in their lives. With this in mind, we have pulled together a list of products that would be the ideal stocking fillers this Christmas Day!
Clinique Skin Supplies for Men Dark Spot Corrector was specially formulated for men’s skin. It contains additional reparative ingredients to help strengthen the skin’s moisture barrier that is constantly stripped due to daily shaving as well as anti-inflamatory ingredients to help calm and soothe irritated skin. As men’s skin tends to be more oily, the lightweight texture allows for quick absorption, leaving a soft and smooth feel after shaving. Finally, Glucosamine and Salicylic Acid work to exfoliate the skin’s surface, encouraging cell renewal and fighting against the occurrence of ingrown hairs.
Skin Supplies for Men Dark Spot Corrector is specifically designed for men and is suitable for all skin types and tones. Apply twice a day after 3-Step Skin Care Regimen or shaving. Spread evenly over the entire face, avoiding the immediate eye area. In the morning, finish with M Protect SPF 21.
Oil Free. Non-Acnegenic. Dermatologist Tested. Ophthalmologist Tested.
Allergy Tested. 100% Fragrance Free.
New SSFM Dark Spot Corrector will be available at Clinique counters and at www.clinique.com.au for a suggested retail price of $92.00
